A Celebration of Life

Monday, July 6, 2015
A couple days ago I had the privilege of going to a birthday here in Brazil. I have been to birthdays bigger then that but I must say it has been only a few. I would guess there where about just over one hundred people and everything was set up great. But the fascinating thing is that the Birthday-girl turned one year old.
So at first, I have to admit, I didn't really think what I should made of it, but as the afternoon went by and I thought about it more and more I felt more and more how awesome it actually is. How this is a celebration of a life and many people came to take part in it. There was everything, good food and drinks, a huge table of sweets for everyone to take a little gift, a bouncy castle, football, other play areas, popcorn and I could go on and on about this. The people who planned this event really didn't settle for anything else than the best.
Over the last days I was thinking again and again about this. I never had a birthday coming even close to that size (and I am not sure if I ever will). But the Birthday-girl really enjoyed the day and didn't even cry once. And I came to the conclusion we all shouldn't safe when it comes to celebrating our lives and those around us. Because we are celebrating God's goodness!
There is times where we let the hard times take away from the truth that God is good and he is good in my life! So if you haven't celebrated your own life and God's goodness for a while, don't look too much at the circumstances but grab a few friends or family members and go out for dinner or something to celebrate your life! No need to wait for your next Birthday! God is good and faithful TODAY.

They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. Ps 145:7
