Hey,
It’s that time again… a short update has made its way to your inbox. I hope you had a good start into the new year and we have finally left winter behind!

After the camp I made my way to Holmsted Manor in South England. Here there is a Youth with a Mission centre, where I have been several times before. This time I was here to have some conversations about a

Afterwards, having returned to Germany, I took some time to be alone with God. First and foremost, to have uninterrupted time with Him. But also to find out what would be my next steps, as the last known step for me ended with the trip to England.
The last couple years have been life bringing for me, but the change every three months (mainly between Germany and Brazil) was very emotional and physically draining. I always knew it was just a season that would come to an end, but over and over again I felt the desire of a more constant home with less change. The main question that I had was, what is the plan? Because neither is wrong and I also wouldn’t want to change this past season for anything. I was ready to keep going in the same way, or to change everything and go a totally different way. None of which has happened…

I felt led to go to England. Brazil and Germany didn’t end but are building together, with England, my ministry triangle. This means my focus and my home is in England, and my job here with Youth with a Mission. Long-term, my goal here is to invest myself in Discipleship, Staff Development and Pastoral Care. Yet I will continue to have the chance to go to Germany and Brazil and invest myself in the very same ministry there.
I have been here for one month, and I am happy to say I am in the right place. It brings joy to invest myself here and I am enjoying having a long-term home. I’ve already had many chances to invest myself into people here but also invest myself very practically e.g. in Grounds, Accounts or the Registrar office. And so I am back in the country where my time with Youth with a Mission began.

One last highlight before leaving for England was a family skiing holiday in Switzerland, where I could not only enjoy the snow, which is my element, but also my family in a great way. A huge blessing!
Next month we are going back to South Africa to the Men’s Outreach, there is still room if anyone is interested!
Lots of Love,
Raphael
